The staff was competent, the room was sumptuous and themed. The location was unbeatable, near to motorway links, the view was beautiful, too. Also, it was 10 min drive from Church of st James.
Unfortunately Wi-Fi was very poor.

The food was excellent and a wide and varied selection - well-prepared and well-served.
The rooms would have benefitted with either fans or air-conditioning, because on the two nights we stayed, whilst the outside temperature was warm it was not excessive, but the rooms were relatively hot.

We stayed in a room with a hot tub which was lovely despite the fact that not all the jets were in working order. The room we stayed in was themed Bora Bora, very romantic. The hotel atmosphere was relaxed and not stuffy at all. We were greeted with a smile at all times. Lovely breakfast too!
When relaxing in the hot tub there is a nearby farm? On both days we stayed they lit a bonfire and the smell unfortunately drifted our way. At breakfast they do not have brown sauce, I find my full English that bit tastier with a bit of sauce!

The staff were very welcoming, and the room was really cosy as we walked in. It was great to be able to walk out onto the patio, as an extension of the room as you sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic in hotel rooms. The hot tub was a very welcome addition and was very relaxing. It was for my husband's birthday so this made things a bit more special than a regular hotel room. I was pleased that the patio/hot tub area was also secluded to give us privacy.

The staff at this hotel offer the most excellent customer care. We arrived after 10pm to a warm welcome, we were shown to our room, offered something to eat. The rooms are themed and we were in the Bora Bora which is a bit pink. The hotel are striving for luxury and could very well reach it if they ensure the general maintenance is fulfilled. We thoroughly enjoyed the room with good coffee machine and really comfortable bed and the hot tub. :)
Some of the paintwork could do with a touch up and bit of wallpaper are coming away from the wall. The radio function didn't work on the TV and the toilet didn't flush very well. None of these niggles made any difference to our delight and enjoyment of The Crab.

Had an amazing stay! The Sunday roast was the best I’ve had in ages 🍽️. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made our experience even better. Only downside was the noisy road outside.
